The world is full of deceptively good-sounding advice like “just follow your heart”. I plead with you to never buy into this one. The Bible tells us that the heart is deceitful, sick, and confusing.
9 The heart is deceitful above all things,
and desperately sick;
who can understand it?
10 “I the Lord search the heart
and test the mind,
to give every man according to his ways,
according to the fruit of his deeds.”
Jeremiah 17:9-10
Remember the only way our hearts are ever good is when we surrender to Christ, and Jesus gives us the desires of His heart.
